Information We Collect

The Contact form collects your name, work email, selected enquiry topic, and message; company name is optional. The Manufacturer Website Investigation form collects your name, work email, company, public website URL, industry or manufacturing type, primary goal, and description of the current challenge; CRM used is optional.

The Weekly Dispatch signup collects an email address, signup timestamp, and signup source. These details are stored in Factory Investigator’s WordPress database. You can currently join the list, but regular Dispatch email delivery has not yet begun.

When attribution is active, an enquiry may also include first- and last-touch campaign parameters, landing-page paths, referrer information, and related timestamps. Hosting, security, and content-delivery providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, requested URL, browser details, timestamps, and security events in ordinary server and protection logs.

How We Use Information

• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
• Assess and respond to contact messages and requested website investigations.
• Maintain the Weekly Dispatch signup list and send it if and when regular delivery begins.
• Understand aggregate traffic, engagement, successful form submissions, and campaign attribution.
• Prevent abuse and meet legal and operational obligations.

Analytics and Cookies

Factory Investigator uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 only after optional analytics consent. Until there is a valid stored or current analytics grant, the site does not load Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics and does not send measurement requests to them. Choosing Accept grants analytics storage only; advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied. Choosing Decline keeps optional analytics off. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional analytics stays off and a previous stored grant is replaced with a denied choice.

We do not intentionally send form message text, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying form contents to analytics tools.

The first-party fi_consent cookie stores whether analytics consent was granted or denied for up to 180 days. Only after analytics consent, the first-party fi_attr_v1 attribution cookie may retain first- and last-touch campaign parameters, landing-page paths, referrer URLs, and timestamps for up to 90 days so enabled enquiries can include source context. Campaign parameters or referrer URLs can contain information supplied by another site or link creator. Declining or revoking optional analytics clears the attribution cookie and Google Analytics cookies that the site can identify.

WordPress, Hostinger, LiteSpeed, and Cloudflare may use essential technical storage or security mechanisms needed to deliver, cache, secure, and protect the site.

Service Providers

Factory Investigator uses WordPress, Hostinger hosting, LiteSpeed, and Cloudflare for website delivery, caching, security, and operations. Contact and investigation forms submit to Factory Investigator’s WordPress installation; accepted messages are handed to its mail system and routed through authenticated Zoho Mail SMTP. A mail-system handoff does not by itself prove inbox delivery.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 are used for measurement. Weekly Dispatch signup records are currently stored in WordPress; no separate newsletter delivery provider is active.

Your Choices and Rights

You can accept or decline optional analytics through the site’s consent control. After making a choice, use the Privacy settings control to revisit it or revoke consent. Revoking consent stops future analytics events from being sent by the site; a browser Global Privacy Control signal also keeps optional analytics off. You may request removal from the Weekly Dispatch list or request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and legitimate operational requirements.
